2015 Chateau d'Or et de Gueules Costieres De Nimes Les Cimels Rouge
The 2015 vintage was a ripe one throughout France, though grapes from the southern Rhône seldom, if at all, suffer from lack of ripeness. One gets a good whiff of dark, smoky, spicy purple fruit on the bouquet, with the black tea, tobacco leaf and forest floor adding to the complexity. The palate is medium bodied, again with healthy dark fruit and spice, in fine balance. We've said it before, and stand behind it, one does not come across this much complexity in a wine for such a price.
