Dutton-Perry Ranch is a recently acquired vineyard located in the sub-appellation Green Valley of Russian River Valley. The vineyard is prime real estate for Pinot Noir with its classic Goldridge sandy loam soils and gently sloped, well-drained, south-facing exposure. Fog from the nearby Pacific Ocean keeps the growing season long and cool.
Flavors of ripe Bing cherry and cranberry lead but then merge with notes of forest floor, black tea and spice. Medium-bodied, elegant and well-balanced. And the good news is that it's only $31.98 a bottle! Cochon's wines are always fairly priced, one might even say bargain-priced, and offer tremendous value.
