At nine years old, this Saint-Estephe is open for business. It has a solid core of dark purple fruit with aromatic notes of earth and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with well-dialed in black fruit braced by fresh acidity. The tannins are present, though they don’t stick out, as the wine is perfectly balanced. It’s ready to drink now, and will stay on its plateau for another 5-10 years.
