The 2022 Viré-Clessé was a huge hit, and the '23 doesn't miss a step. You can't find a better white Burgundy for $35 in our opinion.
Fresh aromas of white and yellow fruit mesh with hints of citrus blossom, stony mineral and spice. The palate is rich, round, and sturdy-bodied with plenty of life. It finishes crisp and precise in a harmonic, slow fade. It’s ready to drink now, or it’d be fun to sock some away and check them out over the next 3-5 years. The Gandines lieu-dit vineyard sits upon iron-oxide-rich limestone, giving the wines their intensity and minerality.
