2021 Grenachista Grenache Noir Cottonwood Vineyard

Sourced from Grenache vines from the Cottonwood Vineyard in Carneros, this wine is concentrated, dark and savory. Blackberry fruit with savory herbs mingle together adding to the wine’s depth and length. It may be from Carneros, but its inspiration lies in the southern Rhone.

Winemaker Casey Greybehl grew up going to wineries in Napa/Sonoma with his parents, so it was only natural when he started in the business. Keeping his day job (at Obsidian winery), he started his project in 2013 after falling head over heels for Grenache Noir. He actively participates in EVERY aspect of his business. He drives the trucks; he works the vines and makes the wine. How’s that for authentic?

It’s dark and serious, yet it drinks well by itself. Pairing ideas include a rib-eye steak or lamb chops. A pizza with Kalamata olives would also be a hit!
