From the winery: "This is THE orange wine that launched Kleinlerer Wines. It is 100% Chenin Blanc sourced from an organic vineyard in Clarksburg — California’s most famed region for this grape variety.
OK, fellow wine geek…The wine was fermented on the skins for an unprecedented 45 days in neutral oak barrels, with the cap gently punched down by hand and then aged for ten months in neutral oak barrels. This badass wine is native yeast fermented, unfined, and unfiltered, which is why it is a bit hazy and cloudy….it’s full of the grape’s natural love. This orange wine is for red wine lovers. And for those that are worried that it’s a weird natural wine…don’t. There’s minimal SO2 added (30ppm) for stability and drinkability."
