NV Champagne A. Levasseur Brut Rue du Sorbier

Levasseur is a grower/producer in the Marne Valley making tiny cuvées of some pretty snazzy Champagnes. There are no reviews yet of the current cuvée (which is based on the excellent 2022 vintage) but here's one that describes the style quite well, with an excellent review, particularly with the base vintage of 2020, which is certainly inferior to '22.

"The NV Brut Rue du Sorbier stems from the Les Gautelleries parcel in Cuchery, planted in 1978. It is a blend of 80% Pinot Meunier, 15% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay. Salted caramel plays enticingly on the nose and leads onto a lithe, chalky palate that is gentle with slightly foamy mousse. Beautiful freshness backs the evident concentration that brims with lovely apple briskness. This is youthful, but the fruit and the wine have much personality. Dosage is 8gr/L.
