This Pinot Noir comes from various parcels in the Côte de Beaune, with some vines as old as 65 years. Aged for one year in barrel, just 15% new oak, then put back into tank for two months before bottling.
From Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "From two Meursault plots, Durots and Belles Côtes. A fine bright mid purple. Quite intense plum fruit, this is robust with some tannins still to be integrated, but enough fruit to cover them. Adequate acidity too. A Bourgogne to put away for a while. Drink from 2024-2026."
