2023 August West Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

It’s all Pinot Noir, sourced from the Russian River Valley. 85% of the fruit comes from the Graham Family Vineyard and 15% from Morris Ranch. The 2023 vintage got off to a slow start due to a cold, rainy winter; the fruit was picked in mid-October, later than they have ever harvested in the past. The physiologically ripened fruit provided all the components needed for an elegant, fruity RRV Pinot Noir.

Winemaker Ed Kurtzman is a lifer in the wine business. His gentlemanly demeanor and the connections he’s made during his career have provided him with opportunities to access fruit from some of California’s most prized vineyards. Up until 2025, Ed made his wine here in San Francisco, in the industrial area beneath Bernal Heights.

Its fruity nature makes it easy to sip on its own, and easy to pair with grilled meats, smoked salmon or Camembert cheese.
