This is a beautiful version of Trousseau, a grape that thrives in the Jura region of France, and that the folks at Rootdown clearly have the right touch with. Cole Ranch is a tiny viticultural area and only a couple hundred cases of this wine are produced. It's a lovely light-to-medium bodied red, with cherry, cranberry, and hints of black tea and dried herbs. On a warm day, plunk this into an ice bucket for 10 minutes and the fruit will come even more alive.
